I like using candy molds to create beautiful Chocolate Covered Oreos. So I decided to kickoff the Christmas season with a party to share this fun activity with friends.
To get ready, I purchased candy molds, candy melts and Oreos in a variety of flavors. I found the highest quality chocolate cookie molds on Amazon under the brand name Spinning Leaf

I like to purchase the candy melts and these thick plastic candy melt bags. Just fill the bags with the candy, roll down the top and tape it closed with clear packing tape. Warm the melts in the microwave for 45 seconds on 50% power (level five). Remove, knead the package and warm again. It may take several times to get the candy liquid. Do not heat on full power or overheat, the candy would become too hard.
Next, I invited my super creative and fun group of friends and let them go to work creating the cookies!
Look at these amazing ladies so hard at work and having fun!
Before we finished the party, I was able to snap a photo of the fun group adorned in their aprons.
We’ll take some of these cookies along with other we made and share them with our neighbors when we go caroling.
I have some leftover Oreos and candy melts if any local friends feel like they need to give this a try. Reach out to me!!
